This course is designed for a smooth, engaging entry for newcomers to needle felting and offers a fresh technical boost for seasoned needle felters alike.

Creative Satisfaction!

Heidi’s approach is grounded in the craft philosophy of Reclaimed Wool.

Craft is about working with our hands, and bridges our relationship to technology (tools) with the ancient human wisdom found in our bodies. Intuitive, tactile sensation known as haptics, is a source of aliveness - it is a gift we are given - alongside the gift of breath.

Expertise with a material or tool expands through exploration, practice and repetition with our hands, in motion giving energy and receiving information. Materials teach us about ourselves as much as we may prefer the idea “we master them”.

Through Heidi's decades-long experience of working by hand with many forms of wool, she has embraced what she calls "the kinesthetic beauty of craft,” which invites and nurtures being through doing, a nonverbal dialogue between creator and created, to rhythmically align spaciousness in the mind with sensation in the body. Mindfulness, proprioception and meditation are not new to those who craft.

Fresh design. Small batches. No spam.

Limited-run, hand dyed, or a special find–we hang out between Constantly Changing and Won’t Be Back!
