Try It - We're Trusting . . . You'll Like it! (Brown)

$22.00

Enjoy a single potholder at over 20% off the regular price!

Each is randomly cut and exact pattern cut is not guaranteed. That said, top quality craftsmanship IS guaranteed! These are not studio seconds.

Each is made from waste—fabrics that needed release from its original source. We all harbor similar "stuff" cluttering our minds, homes, and souls. Who says it’s not someone else’s treasure?

At Reclaimed Wool we make a creative effort to continue to become more responsible for our own material flow. Aiming for zero is our version of ‘just do it’.

Single potholders come with a hang tag that describes fabric content, care instructions, and Reclaimed Wool’s zero waste story on the back.

Each potholder is 6.5 inches square (16.5 cm).

Wool? In the kitchen? On the table?

Yes!

The function of these is 100% spot on with every other pattern and color we offer, even if the colors are not the most current fashion. They have been fashioned to work and letting go of fashion-judgement is as refreshing as . . . taking a pause and a deep breath!

This is a great lower risk option to enter into the possibility of a ten, twelve or fifteen year performance of a humble household item: the potholder.

Wool naturally insulates and is naturally non-combustible.

Become “wool-wow!-ed”.

Each one is made from fabric or loom or garment production scrap that needed release from its original source. We all harbor similar "stuff" cluttering our minds, homes, and souls.

We know there is treasure to be reclaimed in all forms of waste. At Reclaimed Wool it is the creative effort to continue to become more responsible for our own material flow and curious about its potential.

This specific one does as good a job as another on this site!

The western version is little stiffer than my original 100% wool potholders, and this fabric has become a customer favorite since 2009.

  • The fabric is a double-faced jacquard weave comprised of 85% wool weft and 15% cotton warp sourced locally as end bolt, discontinued or current yardage that is has been woven continuously in the USA at a famous Pacific Northwest mill for over 100 years.

Each one is two layers of cut jacquard lined with additional wool, then sewn and finished with a leather tab from the scrap generated by Reclaimed Wool’s coaster production.

A signature multi-step commercial stitch prevents fraying.

  • With proper care, your wool potholder will last for years, if not decades.

Spot clean with a damp sponge or damp terrycloth rag. Let it dry flat.

Hand wash is best. Machine wash is possible on a cold, gentle cycle. DO NOT put your potholders in the dryer! Roll the potholder in a thick towel and Dry Flat.
